Make your own glass table lamps
Make these glass table lamps
These glass lamp bases are definitely something new and are quite inexpensive to make yourself if you visit a local discount store. Top them off with nice lampshades and you have a gorgeous one-of-a-kind lighting feature for a console table or cabinet.

Glass bases
To make these lamps you will need to find two glass vases. Shop at a China Mall, Westpack or discount store and you should be able to pick up similar vases for around R50 each. Still not bad when you consider how expensive it would be to buy new – ready made in the stores.

Glue on lamp fittings
The lamp fittings are actually glued onto the bases – lamp tops – with 5-minute epoxy glue. We can’t buy brass fittingsexactly like these, but you can buy similar at your local Builders Warehouse.
