Collection: Oscillating Blades

Oscillating Saw Blades (also called multi-tool blades) are interchangeable cutting attachments for oscillating (multi-)tools. They rapidly move back and forth in a small arc—rather than rotating—allowing precise plunge cuts, flush cuts and material removal in confined or hard-to-reach spaces.

Key Characteristics:

  • Oscillating Action: Blades vibrate at high speed (often 10,000–20,000 oscillations per minute) in a narrow arc (typically 3–5°), giving precise control without kickback.

  • Universal Mounting: Most blades feature a bi-metal or carbide interface with multiple holes or slots to fit a variety of multi-tool brands.

  • Material & Tooth Configurations:

    • Bi-Metal Teeth: Durable for cutting wood, nails, screws and soft metals.

    • Carbide-Grit or Diamond Coating: Abrasive edges for grout, tile, cement board and hard composites.

    • Precision-Ground Teeth: Fine-tooth blades for clean cuts in wood, laminates and plastics.

  • Shape Variety:

    • Plunge-Cut Blades: Straight-edged for making deep cuts in the middle of a workpiece.

    • Flush/Segmented Blades: Triangular or semicircular shapes to cut alongside surfaces or into corners.

    • Scraper Blades: Flat, no-tooth attachments for scraping adhesives, sealants or paint.

    • Rasp & Sanding Pads: Attachments that convert into oscillating sanders for finishing.

Common Uses:

  • Plunge Cuts & Openings: Quickly cut door jambs, drywall openings or outlets without removing large sections.

  • Flush & Profile Cuts: Trim door bottoms, scribing skirting or cutting flush around pipes and fixtures.

  • Grout & Mortar Removal: Remove tile grout lines or thin-set mortar with carbide-grit blades.

  • Metal & Nail-Embedded Wood: Cut through nails, screws or metal-reinforced wood with bi-metal blades.

  • Adhesive & Paint Scraping: Use scraper blades to strip old glue, paint or caulk from flat surfaces.
