The Axminster AW1950B is a compact yet highly capable floor-standing bandsaw, thoughtfully designed with an array of features often reserved for larger machines. Furthermore, the cast iron table—supported by widely spaced trunnions and a steel plate rear extension—offers both durability and smooth tilt operation. A 19mm (3/4″) mitre fence slot is provided for added versatility. The rip fence cam-locks securely to the front rail and includes twin scales, enabling accurate use on either side of the blade.

For enhanced precision, the bandsaw incorporates ball bearing side and thrust guides that stay securely set unless the blade width is changed. Additionally, a rack and pinion mechanism adjusts the upper blade guide height effortlessly.

Efficient dust extraction is achieved via a dual-port system—one near the bottom guides and one in the lower wheel cabinet—connected through an interlinking hose to a single 63mm port. The twin blade speeds of 660 and 840 m/min cater to various materials and cutting needs. Powered by a quiet and dependable 550W induction motor with a multi V belt, the AW1950B ensures smooth and consistent operation.
