The Bova Chelsea Safety Boot is crafted from 2.0mm - 2.2mm full-grain leather and features pull-straps and elastic side gussets for easy entry and removal. The vamp lining is made from hi-tech Needle-Fi Bre blend, offering excellent perspiration absorbency and treated with Ultra-Fresh for hygienic and anti-bacterial properties. The in-sock is constructed from antistatic non-woven material, while the energiser top sock combines polyester and wool for added comfort and moisture control. The double-density PU/PU sole includes a low-density flexible polyurethane midsole with a Shore hardness of 0.45–0.5 and a polyurethane outer sole with a Shore hardness of 0.64–0.65. A moulded shank reinforcement provides additional arch support, and the sole withstands temperatures up to 95°C radiant and direct heat. The boot is anti-static and, if required, can be fitted with an anti-penetration-resistant midsole. The steel toe cap can resist an impact load of 200 Joules and the boots are tested to comply with SANS/ISO 20345 standards.
