To ensure optimal performance and extended service life, you must use water or coolant at all times during operation. Wet drilling prevents overheating of the diamond segments and protects both the bit and the work surface. Additionally, operate the drill in rotary mode only — never use hammer or impact mode, as this can damage the bit and the material.

For best penetration and minimal surface damage, start drilling at a 45° angle on the tile edge. Then gradually ease the bit into a vertical position once the cut begins. Furthermore, always check your drill’s RPM before use. For diamond core bits larger than Ø10.0mm, including this 14mm bit, the recommended spindle speed is less than 400 rpm. Starting at a low rpm and increasing only when stable improves control and cutting accuracy.
