How To Use:

Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any existing finishes, wax, oil, or grease. Sand thoroughly and remove any dust.

Application:

1. Shake the tin well before use.
2. If using multiple tins, mix them together to ensure a uniform colour.
3. Apply a liberal coat of the dye with a brush or cloth, ensuring it penetrates the wood evenly.
4. Wipe away excess dye with a clean cotton cloth before it dries to ensure a smooth, even finish.
5. After drying, finish with a varnish, wax, or oil for added protection and a polished look.

Advice:

• A second coat is generally not necessary and may disturb the first coat.
• Do not mix spirit-based dyes with water-based dyes.
• The dye is not compatible with French polishes or shellac-based sealers. Always test for compatibility before use.
