Ideal for use prior to finishing with oils, waxes, varnishes, or French polish, it imparts a rich medium oak colour that accentuates the natural grain of both hard and softwoods. This versatile dye is suitable for use on furniture, floors, doors, and other woodwork in interior spaces. The dye can be blended with other Palette Wood Dyes to create custom shades or used with Libéron Natural Finish Varnish for further colour enhancement. Its quick-drying formula allows for faster project completion.

How To Use:

Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, sanded, and free from dust.

Application:

1. Shake the tin thoroughly before use.
2. If using more than one tin, mix them together to achieve a uniform colour.
3. Apply the dye using a foam applicator or brush, working along the grain.
4. Immediately wipe off any excess dye with a clean, dry cotton cloth to even out the colour.
5. For large surfaces, work in small sections to avoid overlap marks.
6. Allow the first coat to dry for 2 hours, and apply a second coat for a deeper colour if necessary.

Advice:

• More than two coats may alter the final finish.
• Always test the product on a spare or inconspicuous surface before full application to ensure the desired colour and effect.
• Be cautious when applying water-based finishes over the dye to prevent lifting the colour with overbrushing.
• Clean tools with water after use, and dispose of residues responsibly.
