How To Use:

Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any existing finishes, wax, oil, or grease. Sand thoroughly and remove any dust.

Application:

1. Shake the tin well before use.
2. If more than one tin is required, mix the tins together to ensure uniform colour.
3. Apply one liberal coat of Spirit Wood Dye with a brush or cloth. Allow the dye to penetrate the wood.
4. Remove excess dye with a clean cotton cloth before it dries.
5. After drying, finish with varnish, wax, or oil for added durability.

Advice:

• A second coat is unnecessary and may lift the first coat.
• Do not mix spirit-based dyes with water-based dyes.
• Spirit Wood Dye is not compatible with French polishes and shellac-based sealers. Always test for compatibility before application.
• Different types of wood may produce different results. Always test on a spare or inconspicuous area.
• Dispose of residues and solvents responsibly, and clean tools with methylated spirit after use.
