Ideal for the maintenance and repair of Polyx®-Oil surfaces!
Clear oil-wax combination for repairing small damages in all wood surfaces treated with Polyx®-Oil. Osmo Polyx®-Oil Care and Repair Paste is based on natural plant oils and waxes. Suitable for wood; microporous surface. Simple application – without primer or intermediate sanding – this saves time and money. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water in accordance with German DIN 68861-1A – no water spots. The dry finish is safe for humans, animals and plants (resistant to saliva and perspiration acc. German DIN 53160, suitable for children’s toys acc. EN 71.3).
3080 Clear, Paste
Osmo Polyx®-Oil Care and Repair Paste is ideal for the simple repair of small damages in all wood surfaces treated with Polyx®-Oil, such as furniture surfaces and worktops made of solid wood or laminated wood (e.g. kitchen worktops, tabletops, shelving etc.) in indoor areas. Also suitable for all wooden flooring, such as solid, plank, strip, OSB and cork flooring as well as stairs.
Based on natural plant oils and waxes (sunflower oil, soya oil, thistle oil, carnauba wax and candelilla wax), paraffin, siccatives (drying agents) and water-repellent additives. Dearomatized white spirit (benzene-free). EU limit value for this product (cat. A/i): 500 g/l VOC (2010). This product contains max. 500 g/l VOC. Up to 2 years and longer if kept dry and tightly closed.
Use a lint-free cloth such as Osmo Easy Pads.
Have a finished surface in 1 day, 2-3 applications. First coat on the cleaned surface. Best to apply with a lint-free cloth. Mistakes in the wet coating can be corrected up to 15 minutes after the first application. If needed, repeat the application as described above 2-3 times. It may be necessary to sand between applications with fine sandpaper.
2-3m² with one application on raw wood
Wood surface must be clean and dry. It is sufficient to wipe the surface with a lint-free cloth. Strongly contaminated surfaces can be cleaned with, for example, Osmo Spray Cleaner and rubbed dry. Sand small cracks, larger gaps or holes in wood and, if necessary, patch with Osmo Wood Filler.
With a lint-free cloth, apply thinly along the wood grain. Allow to dry for approx. 8-10 hours under good ventilation. If necessary, repeat the application as described above 2-3 times.
Approx. 8-10 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/ 50 % rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity can increase the drying time. Ventilate well while drying.
75 g covers 2-3 m2 with one application on raw wood.
Oils enhance the natural colour of wood (permanent wet effect). Applying the product too generously and insufficient ventilation lead to delays in drying. If a higher gloss level is desired, after thoroughly drying apply Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner thinly and polish when dry.
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Warning: Wash out any used cloth impregnated with this product immediately after use or store in an airtight container (danger of self-ignition). The dried finish is classified as B2 (normal flammability) according to DIN 4102 regulations. Safety data sheet available on request.
Dispose of leftover product and packaging according to local official guidelines (waste code number 08 01 11). Only completely emptied cans can be recycled.
