TRADEweld 2000S 200A TIG / 160A MMA AC/DC PULSE Inverter Welder 220V | EWM0050-I.

The TRADEweld TIG/MMA 2000S AC/DC Inverter Welder is a versatile welding machine designed for precision TIG welding, general maintenance, DIY projects and workshop applications. Manufactured to high standards using advanced Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) technology, this compact inverter welder combines AC/DC TIG and MMA welding capabilities in a single portable unit.

With a maximum TIG output of 200A and MMA output of 160A, the welder offers flexibility for different welding processes and material requirements. It is particularly well suited to precision TIG welding on carbon steels and alloys, including aluminium. Its AC/DC output provides additional versatility when working with different metals, while high-frequency technology supports its TIG welding functionality.

The machine features a full LED smart display for viewing and adjusting welding settings. Additionally, its ability to store welding parameters makes it convenient to return to previously configured settings, reducing the need to repeatedly adjust the machine when carrying out similar welding tasks.

For more controlled TIG welding, the 2000S incorporates a comprehensive pulse TIG mode with adjustable parameters, including pre-flow, arc start current, up-slope, peak current, base current, arc end current, down-slope, pulse frequency, pulse ratio, post-flow, clearance width and AC frequency. The machine also supports 2T and 4T torch operation, together with foot pedal control.

When operating in MMA mode, the welder provides a maximum output of 160A and includes Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) control. This gives users an additional welding process for applications where MMA welding is preferred.

Designed for use with a 220V, 50/60Hz electrical supply, the TRADEweld 2000S features low power consumption, fan cooling and robust metal and plastic construction. Built-in overcurrent and overheating protection help safeguard the machine during operation, while its compact and lightweight design makes it easier to move between working areas.

With a 60% duty cycle, IP21 protection rating and a 24-month warranty, the TRADEweld TIG/MMA 2000S provides a practical combination of adjustable welding functions, portability and protection features for DIY users and workshop environments.

Dual-Process TIG & MMA Welding:

The TRADEweld 2000S combines two welding processes in one inverter machine, allowing users to select the appropriate process for their application.

  • TIG Welding: Provides a maximum output of 200A and is particularly suited to precision welding on carbon steels and alloys, including aluminium. The machine supports AC/DC operation, high-frequency functionality and adjustable pulse TIG parameters. Shielding gas is required for TIG welding.
  • MMA Welding: Provides a maximum output of 160A and supports electrodes measuring 2.0mm to 4.0mm. The MMA mode also incorporates VRD control.

Advanced TIG Pulse Control:

The TIG pulse mode provides a comprehensive range of adjustable welding parameters, allowing the welding process to be configured according to the application. These settings give the operator control over different stages of the welding cycle, from initial gas flow and arc starting through to current adjustment and post-weld gas flow.

  • 2T / 4T Function: Provides two torch-trigger operating modes for different welding preferences and applications.
  • Pre-Flow: Controls the shielding gas flow before the welding arc starts.
  • Arc Start Current: Allows adjustment of the current used when initiating the welding arc.
  • Up-Slope: Controls the transition from the starting current towards the selected welding current.
  • Peak Current: Allows adjustment of the higher current level used during pulse welding.
  • Base Current: Controls the lower current level between welding pulses.
  • Arc End Current: Allows adjustment of the current at the end of the welding cycle.
  • Down-Slope: Controls the reduction in welding current towards the end of the weld.
  • Pulse Frequency: Adjusts how frequently the welding current alternates between peak and base current levels.
  • Pulse Ratio: Controls the relationship between the peak and base current periods during pulse welding.
  • Post-Flow: Controls the shielding gas flow after the welding arc stops.
  • Clearance Width: Provides an adjustable TIG welding parameter for AC operation.
  • AC Frequency: Allows adjustment of the alternating-current frequency during AC TIG welding.
  • Foot Pedal Control: Supports foot pedal control for compatible TIG welding operation.

Full LED Smart Display & Stored Welding Parameters:

The full LED smart display provides an interface for viewing and adjusting the machine's welding settings. In addition, the ability to store welding parameters allows users to retain configured settings for future use. This is particularly useful when returning to similar welding applications or working with frequently used welding configurations.

AC/DC Welding Versatility:

The TRADEweld 2000S features AC/DC current output, providing versatility for TIG welding different metals. The manufacturer identifies the machine as suitable for precision TIG welding on carbon steels and alloys, including aluminium.

Its high-frequency functionality and adjustable AC welding parameters further expand the available TIG welding settings.

MMA Welding with VRD Control:

In addition to its TIG welding functions, the machine offers MMA welding with a maximum output of 160A. It accommodates electrodes from 2.0mm to 4.0mm and incorporates Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) control.

VRD functionality is designed to reduce the open-circuit voltage under appropriate operating conditions, providing an additional electrical safety feature during MMA welding.
