Precision straight edge guide with aluminium rails, retractable cutline indicators and built-in GripMaxx™ clamping for accurate rip cuts and crosscuts up to 4 ft (1220mm) in sheet goods.
The Kreg Rip-Cut™ Circular Saw Edge Guide turns an ordinary circular saw into a precision edge-guided cutting tool for making straight, accurate and repeatable cuts in plywood, MDF and other large sheet materials. Instead of taking a large sheet to a stationary saw, the Rip-Cut™ allows you to take your circular saw to the material, making large sheets easier to break down while working on your own.
The Rip-Cut™ can make rip cuts and crosscuts up to 24" (610mm) wide without requiring you to measure and mark every individual cut or manually keep the saw aligned with a layout line. Its long edge guide follows the straight edge of the sheet, while the built-in measuring scale and precision cursor allow you to set the required cutting width. Once the width is set, you can make a single cut or produce multiple pieces at the same size without repeating the measuring and layout process for every piece.
To use the system, mount a compatible circular saw onto the Universal Saw Sled and slide the sled onto the aluminium guide rail. The Universal Saw Sled accepts most circular saws with either left- or right-positioned blades. After completing the simple one-time calibration, adjust the sled to the required cutting width using the built-in measuring scale and adjustable precision cursor. Then hold the edge guide against the edge of the sheet and guide the saw through the cut.
The oversized edge guide helps provide precise control throughout the cutting process, while its reversible, dual-position design accommodates both left- and right-handed use. Constructed from impact-resistant polymer and aluminium, the Rip-Cut™ combines a practical edge-guided cutting system with the portability of a circular saw for sheet-material cutting applications.
Straight, Repeatable Cuts Without Layout Lines:
The Rip-Cut™ uses the edge of the sheet material as its reference point. Therefore, you do not need to mark a conventional cutting line for every cut or concentrate on manually following a line with the saw. Set the required width using the measuring scale and precision cursor, position the edge guide against the sheet and guide the saw through the material.
Ideal for Breaking Down Large Sheet Materials:
Rather than moving a large sheet to a saw, the Rip-Cut™ allows you to bring the circular saw and guide to the workpiece. This makes it easier to cut down large sheets, particularly when working by yourself. It is designed for rip cuts and crosscuts in plywood, MDF and other sheet goods.
Repeat Multiple Cuts from One Setup:
When several pieces need to be cut to the same width, the Rip-Cut™ can remain at the selected setting. This allows multiple pieces of the same size to be produced without measuring, marking and laying out the cutting width again for each individual piece.

Repeatable Cutting: Allows multiple pieces to be cut to the same size using a single setup.
No Layout Lines Required: Eliminates the need to measure, mark and follow a conventional cutting line for each cut.
Material-to-Saw Convenience: Allows you to take the saw to large sheet materials rather than moving the material to a stationary saw.
One-Time Calibration: Once the saw is mounted and calibrated, the measuring scale and precision cursor can be used to set subsequent cutting widths.
Impact-Resistant Polymer Construction: Forms part of the durable guide system construction.
Aluminium Guide Rail: Provides the rail system used by the Universal Saw Sled during cutting.
Accu-Cut™ Compatibility: Designed to be compatible with the Kreg Accu-Cut™ system.
How to Use:
Mount a compatible circular saw onto the Universal Saw Sled.
Slide the Universal Saw Sled onto the aluminium guide rail.
Complete the required one-time calibration.
Set the required cutting width, up to 24" (610mm), using the built-in measuring scale and precision cursor.
Lock the saw sled at the required cutting width.
Position the edge guide firmly against the straight edge of the sheet material.
Guide the circular saw and sled along the rail while keeping the edge guide against the sheet.
For repeated pieces of the same width, retain the existing setting and make the additional cuts without repeating the measuring and layout process.

1 x Kreg Straight Edge Guide Cut Up To 1220mm | KMA4500.
The Kreg Straight Edge Guide makes it easier to achieve straight, precise cuts when breaking down plywood and other sheet goods. Designed with a cutting capacity of up to 4 ft (1220mm), the guide provides a reliable straight reference for both rip cuts and crosscuts, helping you cut larger materials accurately and with greater confidence.
Instead of relying on freehand cutting, the tool rides against the low-profile aluminium guide rail to follow a straight path through the material. It works with left- and right-blade circular saws, as well as some jigsaws and trim routers, making it a versatile guided-cutting solution for a variety of projects and compatible power tools.
Retractable cutline indicator arms simplify positioning by allowing you to align the guide with your pencil marks before making the cut. Once positioned, the built-in adjustable GripMaxx™ clamp secures the guide directly to the workpiece. Its anti-slip surface helps keep the rail securely positioned while you work.
The Straight Edge Guide also features an expandable design. It is compatible with the Kreg Straight Edge Guide Extension, which is available in 2 ft (610mm) sections for applications requiring additional cutting capacity. This allows the basic 4 ft (1220mm) system to adapt to larger projects when paired with the compatible extension.
Precise Guided Cutting:
The aluminium guide rail provides a straight reference edge for your cutting tool. By guiding the saw, jigsaw or trim router against the rail, the Straight Edge Guide helps maintain a consistent cutting path and makes it easier to produce accurate rip cuts and crosscuts in sheet goods.
Easy Cutline Alignment:
Retractable cutline indicator arms help position the guide accurately before cutting. Simply align the indicators with your pencil marks to establish the required cutting position. This provides a clear reference for where the cut will be made before the power tool enters the material.
Built-In GripMaxx™ Clamping:
The Straight Edge Guide incorporates a low-profile adjustable GripMaxx™ clamp, so a separate clamping system is not required to secure the guide. The anti-slip clamping surface grips the material and helps hold the guide firmly in position while cutting.
Expandable for Larger Projects:
For projects requiring greater cutting capacity, the Straight Edge Guide is compatible with the Kreg Straight Edge Guide Extension. Extensions are available in 2 ft (610mm) sections, allowing the guided-cutting system to be expanded beyond its standard 4 ft (1220mm) capacity.
Features & Benefits:
4 ft (1220mm) Cutting Capacity: Allows straight rip cuts and crosscuts across sheet goods up to the specified cutting capacity.
Aluminium Guide Rail: Provides a straight reference surface to guide the cutting tool accurately through the material.
Rip & Crosscut Capability: Suitable for making both rip cuts and crosscuts when breaking down sheet materials.
Retractable Cutline Indicators: Help align the guide accurately with pencil marks before making a cut.
Built-In GripMaxx™ Clamp: Secures the guide directly to the material without requiring a separate clamp.
Anti-Slip Clamping Surface: GripMaxx™ technology helps prevent the guide from shifting while positioned on the workpiece.
Low-Profile Guide Rail: Provides a practical guiding surface for compatible cutting tools.
Left- & Right-Blade Saw Compatibility: Works with circular saws that have either left- or right-positioned blades.
Multiple Tool Compatibility: Designed for circular saws and can also be used with some jigsaws and trim routers.
Works with Most Brands: Designed to accommodate compatible tools from a variety of manufacturers.
