Axminster Workshop Cyclone Interceptor (AW118CI) | 034105844

The Axminster Workshop AW118CI is a stand-alone, unpowered cyclone dust collector and interceptor designed for use with a standard High Volume Low Pressure chip extractor. Using the cyclone body and waste bin from the Craft AC118CE Cyclone Dust Extractor, this unit provides efficient dust and chip separation before the airflow reaches the extractor.

Furthermore, the AW118CI helps create an effective wood dust and chip extraction system capable of handling even fine dust generated by drum sanders and belt sanders. It can either upgrade an existing workshop chip extraction setup with a standard bag filter or operate alongside sanding machines to intercept fine dust particles more effectively.

The interceptor features a generous 118 litre waste container, reducing the need for frequent emptying during operation. In addition, integrated castor wheels provide easy mobility around the workshop, allowing flexible positioning wherever extraction is required.

Fitted with 100mm inlet and outlet connections, the AW118CI suits many common woodworking machines. The manufacturer recommends using a High Volume Low Pressure chip extractor with at least a 1.5hp motor, such as the AW153E. Please note that this unit is not suitable for use with High Pressure Low Volume vacuum-type extractors.

NB: This cyclone requires dust bags measuring 785mm x 940mm.
