The AW3310S Spiral Planer Thicknesser is engineered for smooth, accurate and consistent woodworking results. Its spiral cutting block uses 30 TC spur cutters arranged in two rows, which offer a much longer service life than traditional HSS blades and help virtually eliminate planing ripple. Furthermore, when a cutter edge eventually dulls, you can rotate the cutter 90° with the supplied Torx driver, tighten it, and continue working without resetting blades or waiting for sharpening. Spiral blocks also run quieter and with significantly reduced vibration, making the machine more comfortable to use. In addition, the alloy fence provides reliable support for precise work and adjusts easily with stops at 90° and 45°. Switching between jointing and thicknessing is quick and intuitive, as the single-lift tables raise together in one smooth motion. A 5.4m/min feed speed helps produce a consistently clean, smooth finish, while the digital height gauge makes thickness adjustments simple and accurate. Moreover, the viewing window in the feed table allows easy monitoring during operation. Powered by a robust 3.0kW motor, the AW3310S handles a wide range of tasks with a 310mm planing width and 230mm thicknessing capacity. The maximum depth of cut when planing is 3.0mm, while the maximum depth of cut for thicknessing is 4.0mm.
